Nina Romanenko - Vocals, Guitar, Songwriter

  • Nina  NINA ROMANENKO is a Connecticut singer, guitarist and songwriter who loves working with and performing for people of all ages. She's a former therapeutic recreation director and voice major with training in music as therapy - and has been a part of bands such as John Beardsly's "Elvis Experience", "No Soap Radio" and was the founding member of "The Quarry Cats" and "East River Junction".  She's appeared in venues including the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center, Groton Sub Base, Cheney Hall and the Essex Eagle Festival - and has opened either solo or as a band member - for "Danny and the Juniors", "The Drifters", "Tom Rush" and "Jeffrey Gaines".  She currently performs solo, duo or with her bands "The Quarry Cats" or "The Rumblin's" or in various collaborations with other artists. Nina enjoys providing uplifting therapeutic music programs at Healthcare Facilities and also donates her services to causes such as women's issues, cancer research and Connecticut Veterans. 


Kevin Gallagher - Guitar, Dobro, Mando, Composer

 KEVIN GALLAGHER is an instrumentalist and composer who hails from Bergenfield, NJ where he was inspired by the many wonderful musicians there. He learned to play guitar at age 13 and mastered the dobro, steel guitar and mando when he became enamored with bluegrass while in high school.  He studied music theory and jazz in New Jersey's Ramapo College as well as at Golden West College in CA where he became interested in classic rock, folk and Irish folk. He has played in numerous bands including "The Sophistacats", "Birch Creek", "Bluebird", "Cotton Hollow Rising" and "Allendale Rose". He's performed in venues such as Connecticut's Sounding Board, The Vanilla Bean and The Buttonwood Tree. Kevin currently performs with the groups "Sweetheart Mountain", "The Portables" and "Nina & The Rumblings".

Ellen Iovino - Bass, Steel Drum, Percussion, Vocals

Ellen ELLEN IOVINO'S performances are dramatic, energetic and packed with variety and ever-evolving ideas. Her passionate, dynamic vocals and percussive guitar style are often combined with a little tap dancing and a variety of instrumentation - including harmonica, trumpet, steel drum and more....  Ellen had performed alongside her talented husband - singer/songwriter/dancer/multi-instrumentalist Larry Ruhl for more than 15 years. He passed away suddenly in 2017 but lives on in the hearts of the many who knew and loved him. She brings his legacy to new audiences and honors his memory, talent and meaningful songs by including them in her performances. Prepare to be wowed!!!

Lynn Tracey - 1st Guitar, Drum, Vocals

Lynn Tracey   LYNN TRACEY, graduate Summa Cum Laude of Manchester Community College A.A. in Music Studies, and State Certification in Recreation Therapy, and graduate (High Honors Award) of the Hartford Conservatory School of Performing Arts - Jazz Studies - Accredited Certification Program. She performs in a variety of groups including genres of Bossanova, Jazz, Rock, Blues and Pop., Big Band, & Musicals.  Lynn has performed with local greats including Nicki Mathis, Jocelyn Pleasant, Joe Carter, HannaH's Field, Cat Sullivan and others and has shared the stage with David Stoltz, Walt Gwardyak, Alvin Carter Jr. and Sr., and other great artists. She has also toured in Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, WA, with HannaH's Field,


NINA AND THE QUARRY CATS - Nina Romanenko performed with long time friend and music mentor, Kent Aldrich on first guitar and Nina's husband Mike Harrison on bass for several years.  A hand injury prevents Mike from playing the bass now - but he's still part of the scene by roadying at gigs and Kent still makes appearances with Nina.  Lots of fun and laughter along with great original and old timey tunes.


 THE HONEY COMB GIRLS:  Nina Romanenko and longtime friend - singer, songwriter and guitarist Sharon Howard collaborate whenever their busy schedules allow.  Beautiful harmonies and fun times!


 THE RUBY SISTERS:  A trio formed by Carolyn Brodginski along with friends, Diane Koz and Nina Romanenko - originally to do a benefit for the East Hampton, CT Food Pantry.   Pretty harmonies and lots of fun!


 CECE BORJESON has been a regional favorite on the folk scene since 1996, playing solo, duo (with Ruth George), and with several bands (Birch Creek, Cotton Hollow Rising, Allendale Rose, The Rumblings and the Portables). A multi-instrumentalist and accomplished singer, her discography includes 4 Cds (Shadows and Light, The Cost of Freedom, Hearts in Harmony and Perennials).
